Lois Griffin
Lois Griffin (née Pewterschmidt) is a fictional main character in the animated television series Family Guy and part of the Griffin family. She is voiced by Alex Borstein and first appeared on television in "Death Has a Shadow" on January 31, 1999. Lois was created and designed by animator and producer Seth MacFarlane while he was attending the Rhode Island School of Design. MacFarlane was required to create a thesis project, with a rough version of Lois appearing in the short film. After appearing in the Pilot for Family Guy, the Griffin family received their own series on Fox, which debuted after Super Bowl XXXIII.
